9th Annual
Queen Bee HIV/AIDS Symposium
In recognition of
National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD)
National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD)
Purpose
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is up to 99% effective at reducing HIV transmission when taken as prescribed, but PrEP uptake among women is low compared to same gender loving male populations, and women of color remain disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS. The goal of this event is to increase awareness of PrEP and equip women and girls on how to access PrEP. We strive to help females learn how to make healthier choices as it relates to their sexual health and help reduce stigma/fear associated with PrEP uptake among women and girls.
Join us for a fun-filled girls day out with education, vendors, raffle tickets, give-a-ways, and free food.
Together we can make a difference!
